Clarence has been dancing for nine years and brings a bold blend of artistry, humor, and heart to every space he enters. He is currently a senior at Ball State University, pursuing a double major in Dance and Theatre Education. Clarence began dancing in 7th grade with a focus on musical theatre jazz and ballet, and quickly expanded his training into a wide range of styles.
While he is well-versed across many genres, Clarence’s specialties include improvisation, contemporary, ballet, jazz, and musical theatre jazz, with a particular gift for comedic performance and character-driven movement. Throughout his college career, he has been exploring and refining his personal movement voice — often gravitating toward an open, contemporary style that blends freedom, storytelling, and humor. He has also been diving into site-specific improvisation, pushing his artistry beyond the stage and into unique environments.
Clarence is passionate about using dance as a way to explore identity and self-expression, including his experience as a trans man, and he values movement as both an artistic outlet and a powerful form of communication. He also loves teaching, with a special focus on working with youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities through The Prism Project and other community-based spaces.
Clarence is incredibly excited and grateful to be dancing with Strive Dance Company this season and looks forward to bringing his creativity, energy, and individuality to the stage.
