Clarence has been dancing for nine years. He is a senior BS Dance and Theatre education double major at Ball State University. He started dancing in 7th grade focusing on musical theatre jazz and ballet, but quickly expanded into other styles. Clarence is trained in many styles of dance, but specializes in improvisation, comedic dance, contemporary, ballet, jazz, and musical theatre jazz. While in college he has been working on finding his movement vibe and while he is still mostly undecided, he loves to choreograph in an open contemporary vibe with an emphasis on comedy. He has also been diving into site specific improvisation. Clarence loves to explore his identity as a trans man in his movement. He also loves teaching dance with a focus on teaching youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities through The Prism Project and other spaces. Clarence is so excited and thankful to be dancing with Strive this year!
