Jessa Abston has been dancing for nine years. She began her training in modern before expanding into jazz, ballet, and tap, and she continues to broaden her movement vocabulary through hip hop and pom. Throughout her training, Jessa has especially enjoyed studying Graham and Horton technique in modern, as well as Luigi technique and Fosse-inspired movement in jazz.
Jessa was born with an inner ear deformity that has caused progressive hearing loss and challenges with balance. Dance has become an important source of strength for her, helping her build confidence, develop greater physical awareness, and overcome obstacles that once felt limiting.
For the past year, Jessa has dreamed of joining Strive Dance Company. Dance has played a meaningful role in her life, and she is thrilled to begin her first season with Strive, grow alongside a supportive community, and experience everything the company has to offer.
