Lydia has been dancing for nine years. She was a part of the Leap of Faith Dance Company's pre-professional company in Westerville Ohio, 2016-2022. Lydia trained in Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop under Kelley Haney and Jill Storey. She is in the Anderson University Dance Program 2022-present. She trained in Release Technique and Horton Technique, Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Improvisation under Christine Colquitt-Thacker, Erich Yetter, Doug King, Debra Silveus, and Jennifer Thiemet. Lydia also performed Guest Artist works at Anderson University choreographed by Nicole Clarke-Springer of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, Stuart Lewis of Dance Kaleidoscope, and Randall Flinn of Ad Deum Dance Company. She was awarded Anderson University's School of Music Theatre & Dance "Excellence in Ballet" and "Recognition in Tap" at Anderson University. As a history and music lover, Lydia enjoys finding ways to combine her passions by studying dance and music history as well as finding inspiration in both history and music for her choreographic projects. Lydia is so excited to work with Strive Dance Company for her second season! Dancing with Strive has shown her new opportunities for growth and community, and she says that the projects have been so fun to work on.
